r.a.q.’s (rarely asked questions)
Do you hibernate?
No, although I’ve thought about it and even tried once. I wasn’t able to quite get my heart-rate down low enough. I understand yoga is good for that.
Do you think Woody Allen is funny?
I used to. I’m more a of an Eddie Izzard person now.
Why dolls? Don’t they give you the creeps?
Because I can. I’m good at it. I like doing things I’m good at. Creeps? Yep, you betcha. Dolls can be creepy. So are clowns and people dressed in furry costumes. A furry costumed clown holding a doll, yikes! My dolls are guaranteed cute – the creepy ones I give to Jeff Vader.
Your brain doesn’t work like a normal person.
That isn’t a question.
If you could say anything what would it be?
Isthmus
Isthmus?
See? It’s hard to say. I can’t say it. I end up saying “waggy bit of land that connects two larger land areas”. Saying isthmus would condense my speech drastically.
What would you want to tell a potential customer?
Buy my stuff. duh.
glad you liked the pandas!
let’s keep in touch

I am fascinated with fabric designs and have several design ideas bouncing around in my head, but am not quite sure how to get them out on paper – curious as to how your design process happens – idea to drawing to jpg?
Love your circles!
Rebecca,
I have created my designs 2 different ways; either all on the computer using Photoshop or by doing a drawing/painting and scanning then uploading it into Photoshop to finish the design. Spoonflower (the fabric printing company I use) prefers TIFF files instead of jpg, although they do accept jpgs.
Try Spoonflower – if you upload an image/design you can immediately see what it will look like in a repeat pattern.
Let me know if you have any specific questions. I’d be happy to help.
Susan
Barbara – I’m sooo happy you posted that photo of the pandas. I still giggle imagining it.
Thanks for stopping by.

I have contacted you in the past but in the flurry of a busy artsy life, lost your info. Do you mind shooting me an email. I am looking for artists for a potential show in the planning stages and for a booth at the Freedom Jamboree in September.
Thanks for your time.
